New Camera

I finally graduated on Sunday with an associate's degree.  After the commencement ceremony my brother and his family hosted a really nice family barbecue at their home in Seattle.  Unfortunately, my sister-in-law, C, tripped over some lawn edging in her backyard while hostessing, so my husband took over grilling duties from my brother while he ran his wife to the ER.  A short while later we received a call that she had broken her humerus, in two places!  She's going to be laid up and wearing a sling for 6-8 weeks.  Both she and my brother returned to the party fairly quickly thanks to a slow day in the ER.

Thanks to my husband and sons, my sister, my Mom, my brother and sister-in-law and my niece, my younger brother, and my uncle in Texas, I now have a brand-new camera!  I have LOTS to learn, but here are a couple of my very first pictures.  I'm so excited to have this new camera!!  Thank you so much, awesome family!!  Proper thank-yous will be mailed soon.

What an eventful graduation! Congrats. And I agree with everyone else, those pictures look great. Bandit is looking very grown up these days.

My new camera is a Canon Rebel T1i. It has lots of fun functions I need to learn, but for now I'm letting it do everything on auto pilot. I have two different lenses, so I'm learning what they can do as well. I'm glad everyone's enjoying the new pics. And I agree that Bandit looks so grown up!

Congratulations, what a great accomplishment! Your new camera looks pretty cool too...nice pictures! Hope your sister-in-law is feeling better. We had a party once where my mom almost cut her finger off and had to be rushed to the ER. Makes for good stories later in life, but not good at the time.

Hello and nice to meet you! Congratulations on your graduation. That is wonderful! We are sorry about your sister-in-law and hope that her leg heals very soon.

Bandit would have to be the most handsome dog we have ever met! We live in Australia so we have a very soft spot for Australian Shepherds, but we did not know about MINI ones!

So happy to meet you!!
Lots of purrrrs, Keiko, Kenji & Pricilla
