Happy New Year 2010!!

We wish everyone, near and far, a very "Happy New Year" and much good health and happiness.  Here's hoping 2010 is a year that brings peace to the world. May you stay fast to your resolutions if any were made, and may you encounter some unexpected joys all year long.   ~~*~~Cheers!~~*~~

"We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives... not looking for flaws, but for potential." ~Ellen Goodman

"People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas." ~Author Unknown

"Be always at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let each new year find you a better man. "~Benjamin Franklin

“Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.” ~Oprah Winfrey

"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense." – Ralph Waldo Emerson

"One resolution I have made, and try always to keep, is this: To rise above the little things." ~John Burroughs

"We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day." ~Edith Lovejoy Pierce

New Year's Eve Plans:  K and the boys will be XBOXing and watching the UW Huskies play their first PAC-10 game of the season, while Bandit and I go upstairs to look over the latest issue of EveryDay with Rachael Ray that came in today's mail, and then we're going to watch "The Proposal" starring Sandra Bullock.  Afterwards, we'll move downstairs with everyone else and watch the Dick Clark/Ryan Seacrest "New Year's Rockin' Eve" (is it still called that?).  Then, at midnight, we'll switch to a local channel and watch the fireworks that are blasted off the top of the Space Needle, give hugs and kisses, and then K and Bandit and I will retire.

♫HAPPY NEW YEAR♫

Here's to another year of friendship and smiles and holding up each other through the trials. Over the past year you have brought us many giggles, some laughter and always a feeling that the world is a better place because you are in it.
